However, the feature was not always available from the start, but it was rolled out later after Sony had agreed to all the terms and conditions it required.

And guess what?.I have full control over what my son sees, hears, and plays over xbox live, and I can delete his account on my own, anytime I see fit.just the way it should be! Apparently your post didn't pass in front of the right eyes.Yes, you will be able to crossplay Minecraft PS4 and PC. I'll stick to games that you can play over xbox live without setting up an extra account. And I can promise you I will avoid buying another ea sports game like the plague after this experience. So here I am, still waiting for another phone call, and all I'm trying to do is delete a worthless account that I set up myself and attached my own email and account to so that my 11 year old son can play star wars on xbox live with a couple close friends. I'd like to punch whoever designed this system right in the face.

So I've been chatting and speaking to with tech support for 3 days now, on top of all the time I wasted logging into both accounts on xbox and pc looking for the account settings that I though I must have been missing. After numuerous frustrating chats and a few useless phone calls, I was told that yet another department would be contacting me and that they had no time frame for when to expect a call. WRONG! And to top it off, the useless account has attached itself to my son's gamertag and there is no way to remove it. Set up an account for my son, and was honest about his age (you would think they would warn you that it will be a useless account with no way to change the settings) and linked it to my email thinking I could log in to my account and set up parental controls.
Just stumbled on this thread after reaching the same level of frustration as yourself. Perhaps Tech Support, who I assume is inundated with calls regarding this, should notify their management of the issue this is creating. As for the argument that this is Tech Support and the wrong place to air these grievances, I would argue that all EA venues are appropriate places to air our grievances, Tech Support is a duly employed representative of the company. At a minimum give the parents the ability to govern their Origins account and dictate which games they can play and which they can't.īTW, the workaround the neighborhood came up with is to create new Gamertags and Origin accounts with false ages for all the kids. I don't recall giving you permission to parent my children, but am so grateful you took it upon yourself. Thanks "EA" Big Brother for keeping my child safe from Lightsabers and X-Wings. All the parents in my neighborhood bought this game for their children so that they could play this game together, and NONE of them are able to. My poor six year old however, can't play anything on this. I will not make the mistake of fixing that little mistake. First of all, my eight year old had no problem signing on to the account, most likely because his Origins account and Gamertag is 4+ years old and linked to my birthday. We bought Star Wars Battlefront for our children for xmas.
